EB&D endorses the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA)
We are pleased to announce that Economic, Business & Development: An International Journal (EB&D) has officially endorsed the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA).
Originally developed in 2012 at the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Cell Biology in San Francisco, DORA is a global initiative that promotes improved practices for evaluating scholarly research. It encourages assessment based on the quality and content of research rather than on traditional metrics like the Journal Impact Factor.
By aligning with DORA, EB&D reinforces its commitment to transparency, integrity, and fairness in academic publishing. We support a research culture that values originality, relevance, and impact—beyond conventional citation-based indicators.
This step reflects our responsibility as an academic journal to uphold ethical editorial standards and to promote inclusive and forward-thinking research evaluation across the fields of economics and business.

EB&D participates in Crossref Similarity Check service powered by iThenticate
EB&D aspires to become a good journal with highest level of scholarly integrity. Thus, we take plagiarism very seriously and expect any manuscript submitted to EB&D to be original. That means it should not have been published before and it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The Journal is not considering multiple submission and redundant publications. Starting from January 2021 all new and revised submissions to EB&D are run through Crossref Similarity Check service powered by iThenticate. iThenticate is plagiarism checker that compares submissions against a database of 49 million works from 800 scholarly publishers.
