VIEWS CONCERNING TEACHING, THE CHARACTER OF THE TEACHER, MEANS OF TEACHINGAbstract
The issue concerning child teaching represents an endless and ongoing pedagogical problem. Studying the different interpretations in terms of the various approaches to the teaching process enables their continuous improvement. In this work, the emphasis is put on the analysis of a different view concerning child teaching, which even today is
regarded as contemporary. The issues connected to education, the role and the character of the teacher, as well as the application of the appropriate teaching means, represent just one part of the avantgarde views of the author Ellen Kay. Although her activity in this field happened a long time ago, nevertheless we will review her opinions as motivating in a bolder search for the creation of a successful teaching philosophy, which will fulfill the idea of the century of the child.
