Abstract

The EU has improved its cooperation in foreign policy and security issues to a great extent from the 1970s onward. The moderate attempts starting from European political cooperation has developed in to the more cooperative structure of the Common Foreign Security Politics. There is internal and external reasons behind this. How can we evaluate the state of CFSP and crisis management capability under the present circumstances? The Union simultaneously develops the civilian and military crisis management capacities and uses them not only on European ground. Do they provide the Union necessary power to play the role of global crisis manager?
