During the War, in the area of Pozar, a lots of battles happened between the units of DAG and the regular greek army. Macedonians in this village gave many victims for their freedom and there is no family in Pozar which was not included with people in the War. Because of this, the greek government gave an orders to the regular army to destroy the Pozar or to force the Macedonians abandoning their homes and live the country. Despite the pressure and measures of ethnic cleaning from the Government in Athens, the village Pozar, even after the end of a Civil War was inhabited only with Macedonians with strongly national feelings.
