The main aim of this research is to see if there is a connection between styles of humor and types of loneliness. Styles of humor can be positive (Affiliative and Self-enhancing) and negative (Aggressive and Self-defeating), and Loneliness can be defined as more dimensional construct (Social, Love and Family). The sample of this research is convenient and consisted from 60 first years students from the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje, which were given Humor Styles Questionnaire (HSQ) constructed by Rod Martin and Social and Emotional Loneliness Scale for Adults (SELSA) constructed by Di- Tomasso and Spiner. For testing the hypothesis we have used Pearson’s coefficient of correlation, and the results show that there is significant connection between Self-enhancing humor and Social loneliness (r—.338, p<0,01), Self-defeating humor and Love loneliness (r=.293, p<0,05) and Self-defeating humor and Family loneliness (r=.345, p<0,01).
