About the Journal
Economic Development is an international scientific journal established in 1999 by the Institute of Economics-Skopje, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia. The journal is published in electronic format and aims to promote high-quality research in economics and related interdisciplinary fields.
The mission of Economic Development is to advance knowledge and understanding in economics and related fields by publishing high-quality theoretical and empirical research. The Journal serves as a platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to share insights, foster innovation, and contribute to evidence-based economic decision-making.

Scope of the Journal
The Journal Economic Development is an interdisciplinary, duble-blind peer-reviewed academic journal that aims to advance knowledge and understanding in the fields of economics, demography, and organisational science (management). The journal provides a platform for researchers, scholars and practitioners to publish original research articles, professional papers and review papers that explore theoretical and applied issues at the intersection of these domains. The journal encourages interdisciplinary approaches and empirical studies using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods. It aims to contribute to academic discourse and inform policy-making and managerial practices at national and international levels.
Open Access Policy
The journal supports the principles of open access and aims to ensure wide dissemination of published research to the global academic community. All of the journal articles are free to access immediately from the date of publication. Readers/Authors could search, read, download, copy, and print the full text of articles, without any additional permission by the author or publisher.

Archiving Policy
The Journal uses the PKP PN digital archiving policy.
Finance
The Journal applies a submission fee for all submitted manuscripts. This fee covers administrative and peer-review costs and is non-refundable, regardless of the editorial decision. Details are provided in the Author Guidelines. In addition, the Journal receives financial support from the Institute of Economics-Skopje and the Ss Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.
Publication Frequency
The journal is published biannually, with two issues per year released in June and December.
