Abstract

Review of the relation between sociology and politics through a view of the American
sociology from the end of the nineteenth and the first half of the twentieth centuries, from the
aspect of positive achievements from this relation, the possibilities for realizing sociology as
a value neutral science, as well as the dilemmas in relation with those possibilities.
