We are pleased to present the two new issues of the international Slavic online journal „Philological Studies“. The first issue of the 2024 edition presents papers focusing on the everyday and the unusual in narratives, religious language, environmental themes in children’s picturebooks, comparative phraseology and the representation of military and war themes in the Yugoslav punk movement and the New Wave. Linguistic research focuses on constructions in Slavic languages. The second issue deals with trauma in literature and examines re-traumatization after memory, collective traumas such as natural disasters and wars, and the treatment of loss in contemporary poems and novels. Sixteen articles in total have been published in this year’s edition. This year, the edition was edited by the Institute of Literature and Art from Belgrade (Serbia) in cooperation with its partners: the Institute of Macedonian Literature at the University of „St. Cyril and Methodius“ in Skopje (Macedonia); the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb (Croatia); and the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia). On this occasion, we would like to thank everyone who participated in the creation of this year’s „Philological Studies“, especially the authors, who, with their contributions, once again confirmed the importance of regional and international connections in the field of humanities.
