EDUCATION-PROFESSIONAL VISIT OF THE UNIVERSITY “LA SAPIENZA” IN ROME, ITALY

Abstract

Within the mutual scientific and professional co­operation between the La Sapienca University in Rome and Ss Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, scholars from the Institute of Special Education and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Philosophy in Skopje: Dr. Ljupcho Ajdinski, Mrs. Natasha Chichevska-Jovanovska, MA, Mrs. Da­nie­la Dimitrova-Radojichikj, MA, and Mr. Zoran Kitkanj, MA, visited the Faculty of Special Psychology in Rome from 11 to 18 December 2005.
During the visit we got to know the organization, the curriculum and the syllabuses, the theoretical studies and practical training at the Faculty of Special Psychology, as well as the organizational structure of the University. The hosts enabled us to visit several institutions for treatment of chil­dren and youth psychic and developmental dis­abilities: regular primary school in which children with easy developmental disabilities are included, a flat in a block of flats where six people with Down syndrome were accommodated and one institution for care and work therapy of people with hard disabilities.
