Abstract

The subject of this study is relationship among job satisfaction and definite work strain components as well as job satisfaction prediction on base of work strain indicators. On a sample of 65 employees in a private firm of food processing industry in Skopje, two questionnaires were applied: Cooper work strain questionnaire composed of 40 items on 8 indicators as well as Russinova et ah, work satisfaction questionnaire of 55 items on 9 subscales. Negative relationship is postulated to exist between researched variables whereas work strain indicators were expected to explain significant proportions in variance of job satisfaction subscales scores. Correlative-regression analysis has confirmed mutual interaction between job satisfaction and work strain that is worth to be researched in order to improve employee well-being, quality of work life and productivity.
