Abstract

The study is dedicated to the film “Green Border” by director Agnieszka Holland, which was shot to show the treatment of migrants from the Middle East and Africa at the borders of Poland. The author’s critical stance expressed the efforts to document and witness situations of trauma experienced by migrants, border officials who work to prevent migrants from crossing the Polish border and, thus, the border of the European Union, and activists who try to help them by risking their freedom. The director’s ap-proach focuses the story on intimate and private recordings of suffering describing all aspects of individual efforts related to survival.
