DECLARATION OF NATIONAL STRATEGIES REALIZATION

Abstract

The Conference of the countries of South-Eastern Europe on Experience from carrying out the Na­tional strategies for equal rights of people with disabilities and comments on their realization was held from 17 to 18 December 2008 at the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia. The following countries participatedat the Confer­ence: the Republic of Macedonia, Republic of Albania, Republic of Bulgaria, Republic of Montenegro, Republic of Slovenia and the Re­public of Serbia. Due to objective reasons, the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Romania could not participate at the Conference, even though they had announced their participation.

Representatives of the National Council of all People with Disabilities Organizations partici­pated at the Conference as well as the Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Mr. Ljupcho Meshkov, the president of the Inter-parliamentary Group of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Ratko Dimitrovski and the ambassador of the European Commission in the Republic of Mace­donia, Mr. Ervan Fuere.

The introductory presentation at The Conference on the experiences of the realization of the Na­tional Strategy for equal rights of people with disabilities with comments on its realization was given by Boge Chadinovski, a member of the National Coordinative Body for equal rights of people with disabilities of the Republic of Mace­donia.
