Abstract

This article deals with the final third part of the short story “Paul Vault”. The narrative voice belongs to the myrrh. Christo Karutza, the librarian, is trying to jump over the building that has blocked his view of the beautiful mountain peak in his small librarian cabinet. His name is associated with Christ. Christo is a polylogical subject with fluent multiple identities. Jumping over the building and transforming into myrrh after his death on the asphalt, Christo Karutza creates a modern hagiography. It undermines conventions, negating finite meanings while constantly producing new ones that turn through the genotext into signifiance.
