PROF. RUZA PANOSKA AND THE MODERN MACEDONIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract

 The Department of Macedonian Language at the Faculty of Philology «Blaže Koneski» in Skopje, on 28.3.2024, organized a Solemn Class dedicated to Prof. Dr. Ruža Panoska - on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of her death. This article reviews the textbook «Modern Macedonian Language» by Prof. Ruža Panoska and examines the scientific, methodological and didactic approach to the grammatical topics represented in this textbook. The five chapters are particularly reviewed: 1. Basic concepts in the language, 2. Lexicon and phraseology, 3. Lexicography. 4. Phonetics and phonology, 5. Morphology. The textbook Modern Macedonian Language by Prof. Ruža Panoska represents a sublime, simple theoretical approach to various linguistic problems in the Macedonian language with a large number of examples and exercises for adopting the theoretical premises (practicum). According to the methodological and didactic approach, this textbook is indispensable, up-to-date and highly functional as a textbook for students studying the Macedonian language, as a teaching aid for teachers of the Macedonian language in primary and secondary education and for learners of the Macedonian language as a foreign language.
