Апстракт

In the context of intensified globalization, migration processes, and increasing cultural diversity, the development of intercultural competence has emerged as one of the most significant objectives of contemporary education and upbringing. This paper examines educational development as a fundamental basis for fostering individuals capable of constructive communication, mutual respect, and active participation in multicultural communities. Through a theoretical analysis of multiculturalism, intercultural pedagogy, and contemporary educational practices, the study explores both the opportunities and challenges associated with the development of intercultural competencies in modern society.
Particular attention is devoted to the role of the family, school, and teacher as key agents in the process of educational socialization and the formation of value orientations that promote the acceptance and appreciation of cultural diversity. The paper argues that intercultural competence should not be understood merely as knowledge about other cultures, but as a complex system of attitudes, values, and skills that enable effective interaction in culturally diverse environments. Drawing upon comparative international experiences and recent research findings, the paper highlights the necessity of a systematic and long-term approach to multicultural education as a prerequisite for social cohesion, democratic culture, and sustainable societal development.
