Abstract

The main stand point of view in this research is that Macedonian epics reflects some models of Indo-European. For example, the double hero in the cycle of Marko the King is interpreted as a relict of ancient paradigmas in Near East epics and Ancient Greek epics. The parallels are based on detailed analysis of some peculiar element and some appearances of the same model in Roman epics and Balkan epic tradition.
Special attention is paid to the doublet Skenderbey-Dinka as interpreted in literary epic poetry of Grigor Prlichev, Macedonian poet od XIX century>.
